Mrs. Shupard is back from maternity leave and ready for a great year of art-making! To start the year, 3rd graders will be watching a YouTube Video that instructs us how to draw a genie lamp. The students will be decorating their lamp with patterns of their choice. 4th graders are starting the year with Splatter Art. This fun painting project will be decorated with lettering that will show our theme for the year “Better Together”. 5th graders are working with cutting and gluing construction paper to create an African mask. Artwork will be selected from these projects to be displayed at the high school during Blue Jay Pride Day on October 5. The 4th grade Painting Club will be creating a life size genie for this display. I hope to see everyone at Seaford High School for Blue Jay Pride Day! If you would like to practice drawing the genie lamp at home, click on the YouTube link below: This YouTube channel, Art for Kids Hub, is a great channel to subscribe to for many great how to drawing videos.
